Catholic Life and Mission

At Our Lady and St Joseph’s we live our Mission Statement.

To do this we learn, live and grow together, sharing a belief in the values of the Gospel.

Children are encouraged to help others through their thoughts, words and actions.

We encourage empathy and understanding of others, not only within the local community but of the wider international community.

This enables our children to be part of active social justice.

MISSION STATEMENT

‘We Learn, We Love, We Grow in Jesus’ name’

Our school is built on a foundation of love and understanding as demonstrated by Mary and Joseph and we welcome all who enter our school with the love of Jesus in our hearts.

The education and care provided is for everyone and aims to enrich all that we come into contact with.

Let us build a school where everyone:

  • Loves one another, has hopes, dreams and visions. Is special and unique growing together in faith and friendship with confidence, belief in ourselves, belief in others, where we are able to trust, be curious and have fun.

Where together we all:

  • Welcome and belong, laugh and cry, dream and believe, learn and achieve,   respect and care, support and grow, forgive and feel safe.

As a community we:

  • Pray, care and protect, guide and support, lead and challenge, befriend and nurture, motivate and encourage, listen and believe, teach, excite and inspire while having fun.

Our Lady and St Joseph’s prepares all, in a safe and welcoming environment, in our next steps allowing us to make informed choices based on the teaching of the Gospels.
