Remembrance at St Ives Church

A post in our latest news section.

Our children were exceptional ambassadors for our school this morning when we attended St Ives Church for a special Remembrance Day Service.

The children had the opportunity to lay their poppy stones and walk along the poppy trail as well as respectfully honouring local heroes.

It was an exceptionally moving moment when the children formed a cross and Councillor Watts Stelling read a verse from ‘The Fallen.’

The children were then invited into the church to pay their respects and it was wonderful to see a photograph of Mrs Minnie Richardson, a previous employee of Brooms School as well as a picture of a former pupil who is currently serving in the RAF.

We are very proud of all our children who showed enormous respect on this very special occasion.

A huge thank you to all at St Ives for inviting us to join this special community event.
